Meet the Gardener

About Janet

My love for growing things began more than 50 years ago alongside my husband, Marty. What started with rows of vegetables gradually grew into perennial beds, winding pathways, and a garden that became the heart of our home.

On these two acres, we raised our four children surrounded by soil, seasons, and stories. The garden holds decades of memories — from scraped knees and seasonal harvests to watching our oldest daughter say “I do” beneath the blooms. Our eldest son built the garden shed that still stands today, our youngest son constructed the hoop houses that help extend our growing season. Our second daughter, as well as our grandchildren carry a deep love for all things gardening. The rhythm of planting, tending, and gathering has shaped not just the land, but our family.

Today, I focus on flowers — blooms grown not just for our own backyard, but to be shared with the community. What began as feeding a family has become a way to spread joy, one bloom at a time.
